What do we do?
PYLGBT is a website that provides LGBT young people with reliable and free information surrounding LGBT topics. Our website has information on a variety of different topics, including: coming out, being bisexual, being trans, bullying, mental health and family.
Our target audience is young people who either identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans, or those who are unsure about their sexuality or gender identity. We know that these issues don't just affect the young person, but it also impacts their entourage. That's why we also have support for family.
Through our work, we hope that young people can feel more comfortable about who they are. It can be difficult for a young person to open up about their sexuality, especially for the first time. This website allows them to learn about LGBT issues in an easy, safe and reliable way.

How do we do it?
In the 21st century, the internet forms a major part of our daily lives. This is particularly true for young people, who are constantly online. This can be through social media networks or browsing via search engines. Although we agree that the internet is a great tool for obtaining information, we also know how easy it is to stumble across unreliable websites.
With this in mind we set about launching a new website. The aim was that it would have all the relevant information for young people about the most commonly sought after LGBT topics. Having launched the website, we believe that we have filled a gap in the online market and the benefits to LGBT and unsure young people is evident.
We can also be found on social media, with our twitter account being a very popular way to inform young people of our website. We also tweet about relevant LGBT news or current events. Young people can also contact us through the website or via email, which allows for a more personalized response to their worries. Finally, we value their feedback and comments.

Our partners include influential organisations in the United Kingdom and abroad. It goes without saying that our work would simply not be achieved without the invaluable contribution of these organisations.
